Willard H. Jantzen, 81, Valley City, ND, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 in the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM.  The Lerud Mathias Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  An online guestbook and tribute page for Willard can be found at www.lerudmathias.com.

Willard H. Jantzen, Jr. was born in Valley City, ND to Willard "Red" and Ellen (Vorland) Jantzen on November 18, 1942.  He grew up in Valley City, graduating from Valley City High School in 1962 and Valley City State University in 1965.

Will taught and coached for over 25 years in Minnesota, Florida, and North Dakota.  Football and golf were the sports he liked best but coached them all.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Dahl and brother-in-law Cecil Dahl.

He was survived by his wife, Donna; stepchildren, Dawn (Mike) Holm, Cara Kamstra, Cory Anderson, and Gaye (Scott) Undem; 6 grandchildren and a great grandchild. He's also survived by two nieces Sally and Stacy and their families along with several cousins.
