Velda Menz, age 47, of Wimbledon, ND, died Sunday, October 4th at Mercy Hospital in Valley City. Private family services will be held. Inurnment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND. Velda Mae Reimer, the daughter of John and Maria (Friesen) Reimer, was born March 8, 1968 at St. Boniface, Manitoba, Canada. She received her education at the Grunthal Manitoba Public School. On January 17, 1993 she married Marlyn Menz of Wimbledon, ND in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The couple made their home on a farm north of Wimbledon all their married life. Velda enjoyed country living, reading, sewing and quilting. Velda is survived by her husband of 22 years, Marlyn Menz, Wimbledon; her father, John Reimer of Winnipeg, Manitoba; one sister, Lavina (Chad) Calder; two nieces, Molly and Dannon Calder, all Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
