Terry Jay Sorensen, 50, Valley City, ND passed away February 21, 2025, in Valley City.  There will be a celebration of Terry's life Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City at 2:00 PM.  He will be laid to rest later this spring in Memory Gardens Cemetery.  The service will be live streamed, then archived, on a link provided along with his obituary on his tribute page at www.lerudmathias.com.  An online guestbook is available there as well.

Terry was born October 13, 1974 in Valley City, ND to Gary and Evie Sorensen.  He grew up in Valley City and was a member of the VCHS Class of 1993.  He was married to Carmen Henke from 1998-2008 and in 2000, they had their daughter, Hannah.

20 plus years of his career were dedicated to Sorensen Construction.  Beyond his work, Terry had a passion for woodworking, gardening, maintaining his yard, and listening to old time radio shows.  He found joy in creating with his hands and spending time outdoors.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Hannah; mother, Evie; siblings, Doug (Nancy) Sorensen and Wendy Sorensen-Schlaht; nieces, Shantell Schlaht (Nico Navarro), Megan (Gabe) Brown, and Macy Schlaht; great nephew, NJ Navarro and great niece, Sorenity Navarro; his dog, Jojo; and many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
