Terry Christensen, age 74, of Milbank, SD, succumbed to her many illnesses and passed away March 8, 2022, in McKenna Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Her children held a memorial service for her March 14th in Milbank.  A celebration of Terry's life will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, April 30th at the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home Chapel in Valley City.  Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home on Friday afternoon.  Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.

Terry Rae Cink, was born February 16, 1948, the second of twins in Valley City.  She was the daughter of Fred and Hulda (Schaffer) Cink.  Terry grew up in Valley City and attended the college lab school, kindergarten through eleventh grade.  She graduated from Valley City High School in 1966.

Terry married John Christensen in 1969.  They lived in Valley City and Ray, ND.  They had three children:  Tonya, James and Trina.  Terry and John divorced in 1984.

Terry moved to Milbank, SD.  She was a faithful volunteer at the Milbank Thrift Store.  Terry was recently diagnosed with moderate dementia, so her children moved her into an assisted living center in Milbank.  Terry enjoyed reading, making puzzles and doing yard work.  She was rarely seen without a Coke in her hand and ate almost everything with ketchup.  Terry especially loved spending time with her family and helping others.

Left to cherish Terry's memory are her three children, two very special granddaughters, seven additional grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her siblings, Connie Late, Fargo, ND, Cathie (Roland) Gamer, Molalla, OR, Maloye (Mike) Lesmeister, Fargo, ND, Jay Cink, Valley City, ND, Kerry (Jim) Fenstad, Fargo, ND and Fred Cink, Jr., Green Valley, AZ.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents and her ex husband.
