Susan K. Delmore, 63, Sanborn, ND passed away at Mercy Hospital in Valley City on January 25, 2021.  A memorial service will be held in the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 29, 2021 beginning at 2:00 PM, visitation will be the hour prior to the service.  The Lerud Mathias Funeral Home is assisting Sue's family with arrangements.  The service will be live streamed then archived and available to view along with Sue's online guestbook at www.lerudschuldt.com

Susan was born to Lilly Ouellette and Edward "Teddy" Vondal on December 31, 1957.  She married Wayne Delmore in 1989 and they made their home in Sanborn, ND.  Susan was a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and was very proud of her heritage.  She would wear her Native head dress and looked like a Native American Princess.  She was a strong woman and could hold her own.

Susan loved her children and grandchildren, playing bingo/pull tabs, collecting most things that caught her eye, sitting in the sun, playing pool, raspberry rhubarb pie.  She was a firecracker and loved animals especially Sugar her Chihuahua.  She liked rock and country music, target practice with a .22, going fishing, taking a drive to enjoy the day.  She played pool for the Clock lounge and was a feared but respected opponent – she would own the table and won many tournaments.

The family of Susan would like to thank you all for your kind words and prayers during this difficult time.

Susan is survived by her husband Wayne Delmore; daughter, Toni Vondal (Mike "Paul" Eklind); daughter, Niki Lafftery; son,  Tyler Delmore (Connie Rae); grandchildren, Reanna Schmidt, Dylan Ducioame, Darion Lafferty, Zakk Lafferty, Tayla Rayne Delmore, Skylar Ann Brown and Cheyton Adam Brown.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Lilly Wirtz; her father, Terry Vondal; her siblings and many more loved ones.
