Maurice Eugene Gullickson, formerly Spiritwood, ND, went to his eternal home, December 28, 2017. Morry "Mo", was born in Valley City, ND to Maurice C. and Genevieve (Kramp) Gullickson on August 28th, 1938. He grew up on the family farm south of Urbana and attended Island Lake School there through the 8th grade. He graduated from Valley City High School in 1958. Mo joined the National Guard and served for 8 years. He worked for McGarry Construction, building Interstate I-94.
Morry married Connie (Carlson) in 1958 and they made their home in Spiritwood, ND, where he worked for the DeGroot Elevator. They later moved to Eldridge, ND where he managed the elevator for ten years. They then moved to Rogers, ND, and managed the elevator there for five years. He started farming with his brother and father in Urbana, ND in 1980. He farmed until declining health retired him from the job he loved.
Morry was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Rogers. He was also a member of the Eagles Club, Barnes County Wildlife, Spiritwood Betterment Club, and the Rogers Gun Club.
Morry is survived by his wife Connie; four children, Kim (Scott) Anderson, Pam (Steve) Reis, Scott (Wendy) Gullickson, and Chad (Teri) Gullickson; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his brother William (Donna) Gullickson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice C. and Genevieve (Kramp) Gullickson; grandparents, Peter and Nellie Kramp; and two great grandchildren, Keira and Kirey Wilkins.
Visitation is from 5 – 7 pm at the Lerud-Schuldt- Mathias Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held January 4, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Valley City, ND at 309 4th St. NE. Pastor Terry Monson officiating.
