Marvin "Bub" Diemert of Fargo passed away on February 6, 2017. The service will be on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sanborn, ND. Visitation will be held an hour before the service. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery later this spring.

Marvin Eugene Diemert was born to John P. and Lillian (Susalski) on August 8, 1923 in Sanborn, ND. Marvin grew up in the Sanborn/Eckelson area. In 1946 he married Gladys Hansen. They lived in Colorado and Illinois. Gladys passed away in 1979.

Marvin worked as an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 50 years.

In 1984, Marvin married Jeanne Johnston Flatt. They made their home in Fargo.

Marvin is survived by his wife Jeanne, daughters Linda (Dale) Beck and Allison (Marshall) Kutzer; stepdaughters, Debby (Ron) Maust, Becky Burchill, Kelcey (Pete) Hill, and Jody (Rick) Rahlf; stepson, Carey (Rochelle) Flatt; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; a sister, Verna Font; and several nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys; son Patrick; sisters, Mary and Patricia; and brothers Romaine and Jim.
