Louise E. Knight, 103, went to her heavenly home July 17, 2020. Formerly from Page and Valley City, ND, she was lovingly cared for at Maryhill Manor, Enderlin, ND for the last 5 years.
Louise was born at Tuttle, ND to William and Katherine Horning, who eventually moved their family to New Rockford, ND.
On March 28, 1936, she was united in marriage to Andrew Knight and became a farmer's wife near Galesburg, ND.
Her strong faith in the Lord and prayer life carried her through the years of raising her children, teaching Sunday School and the many challenges that came her way.
She enjoyed gardening, sharing her flowers, crafting and in her later years, making fleece tie-blankets for Project Ignite Light, puzzles and coloring. The high lights for her were always visits from family and friends.
Louise is survived by her children, Ronald Knight, Donald (Lona) Knight, Janette (James) Vance, Robert (Marlene) Knight, and Bruce (Cindy) Knight, 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, parent-in-laws, husband, sisters, Minnie Williams and Lydia Knight, brothers, Adam, Bill, Fred, Edwin Horning, daughter-in-law Marlyn Knight, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Funeral service will be held and live streamed at Lerud Mathias Funeral Home, Valley City, ND on Friday July 24, 2020 at 11am with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at the Page Cemetery, Page, ND, at 2:30pm, also on Friday, July 24.
Please be mindful of the CDC guidelines and precautions regarding Covid-19. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. Memorials are preferred to:
