Obituary

Linda Olson, age 77, of Valley City, ND, died Friday, April 28 th at her residence surrounded by her loving family under Hospice of Red River Valley Care.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 3 rd at Grace Free Lutheran Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND.  An online guestbook and livestream of Linda's service will be available at www.lerudmathias.com

Linda Rae Dilts, the daughter of Arnold and Alice (Becker) Dilts, SR., was born December 20, 1945 in Valley City, ND.  Linda spent her childhood years growing up in Leal, ND.  The family moved to Valley City in 1960.  Linda raised her children in Valley City and worked at the Sheyenne Care Center where she retired at age 60.  Linda loved to travel with her beloved Larry and after his passing with her cousin Roleen Richards.  Linda's hobby was crocheting afghans and hats that were donated to various organizations to keep children warm in the North Dakota winters.

Linda is survived by her children Ronda Richards, Christy (Shawn) Olauson, Paula (Tony) Gille and Bradley Olson; her grandchildren, Shane (Amanda) Olauson, Melinda Olauson, and Hunter Olson; a great-grandson, Calvin Olauson; her cousin Roleen Richards; Kelly (Joe) Schmit, Adam and Preston.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Arnold "Lad" Dilts, a sister Kloe, her daughter Kloe, her cousin Virgil Ussatis and Larry Busche.
