Julie was born July 17, 1968, to Percy and Carole Pepple. She grew up on a farm near Carrington, ND and graduated from Carrington High School in 1986. Julie attended Sioux Falls College where she earned a degree in Business Administration.

Julie married her true love, Les Koenig, on January 1, 1990, at Calvary Baptist Church in Carrington, ND. After they got married, they settled in Minot, ND.  In 1995, Julie and Les were called by God into full time ministry. They moved to Dallas, Texas so Les could attend seminary. After graduation, Julie and Les served churches in Aberdeen, SD (2000-2006), Cando, ND (2006-2017), and Valley City, ND (2017-present).

Julie served the Lord faithfully in each of these churches. She served on church boards, as church clerk, helped with youth activities, hosted CEF 5-day clubs, played piano at the nursing home, taught Sunday School, worked in AWANA, the nursery, and Vacation Bible School. Julie's love for the Lord and desire to serve him, impacted the lives of many people.

Julie's hobby was her family. Whether it was watching ball games and track meets, creating valentine boxes, baking snacks from the kid's cookbook, playing games, crafts, shopping, attending speech meets, band and choir concerts, she enjoyed investing her time into her kids.

Julie is survived by her husband, Leslie Koenig (Valley City, ND); her three children: Katie Koenig, Hannah Koenig, and Jon Koenig (all from Valley City, ND); her Mom, Carole Pepple (Carrington, ND); her brothers, Paul Pepple (Carrington, ND), Roy (Brenda) Pepple (Alexandria, MN), Tim Pepple (Carrington, ND).

Julie is preceded in death by her father, Percy Pepple.

Lerud Mathias Funeral Home in Valley City is assisting Julie's family with arrangements.
