Gregory Anderson, age 62, of West Fargo, ND, died Monday, May 26th at CHI-Mercy Health in Valley City, ND. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10th at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Valley City. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the church. Gregory was born on November 19, 1963 to Jerry and Sharon (Pfaff) Anderson at Mercy Hospital in Valley City, ND. Gregory grew up on his family farm in Leal, ND. He attended North Central High School where he graduated in 1982. After high school, Gregory went on to join the United States Army National Guard in 1983. Gregory was enlisted in the Guard for 30 years. In that time, he would acquire the rank of Master Sargent and maintain that rank until his retirement from the National Guard in 2013 at Camp Grafton in Devils Lake, ND. During his illustrious career in the Guard, Gregory also attended NDSCS where he would become a Machinist. He graduated from NDSCS in 1985. Upon graduating from NDSCS, Gregory found his career by working for Fargo Tank, now True North Steel. He would be a main fixture at True North Steel for 38 years until his retirement in 2023.

Though Greg was known for his tremendous dedication and work ethic, he loved to dabble in many hobbies, especially riding motorcycle. That love of hitting the open road on one of his Harley’s eventually landed him a position in the Dakota Riders Club, with the Valley City Chapter. He was in the Dakota Riders from the time he was 21 years old and would remain steadfast and loyal to his Valley City Chapter until his untimely death. Aside from riding motorcycles, Gregory enjoyed hunting, spending time with family, traveling, and if you know Greg, he loved to quote lines from his favorite movies, just to get a laugh out of people.

Gregory would meet the love of his life, Mindy Myers, in February of 2011 through mutual friends. That first encounter would lead to both Gregory and Mindy building and cultivating a life together as both would get married in 2014. Both Gregory and Mindy would locate to West Fargo were they maintained a loving marriage and home for the last 12 years. Gregory, above all else was a man of tremendous dedication and loyalty to those that he held near and dear to his heart. If anyone was ever in need of anything, big or small, at the drop of a hat Greg would be there for you without hesitation. Gregory was a tremendous protector of his family, he was a wonderful husband, step-father, brother-in-law, uncle, and most importantly a gracious friend to so many countless others. Though he may be gone, Gregory will continue to live on in our hearts and minds, forever and always.

Gregory is survived by his wife of 12 years, Mindy (Myers) Anderson of West Fargo, ND, and his two wonderful step-children Braeden Greer of Jamestown, ND, and Ashlyn Greer of West Fargo, ND. He also is survived by his Little Buddy, Jackson, (family dog), his nephew, Brantley Anderson of Wahpeton, ND, and his two Brothers-in-law, Brandon Myers of Valley City, ND, and Preston Myers of Jamestown, ND. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, his cousins: Cindy and Steven Bulson of Leesburg, FL, Christin and Joel Dugenske of Princeton, WI, and Cathy and Randy Brown of Hazelhurst, WI, He also leave behind his aunt and uncle Larry and Bea Pfaff of New Port Richey, FL. Lastly, he is survived by his Club Brothers from the Dakota Riders MC, Valley City Chapter.

Gregory was proceeded in death by his parents, Jerry and Sharron Anderson, his brother, Steve Anderson, his grandparents, August and Emma Anderson, Archie and Sadie Wilcox, Tika, his German Shepard, and his Father-in-Law, Dennis Myers.

Greg’s Family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for the care that he received and the family would also like to thank the nursing staff on the third floor of Essentia Health in Fargo.
