Gladys R. Pederson, 83, Valley City, ND passed away at SMP Health-St. Raphael on October 16, 2023.  A celebration of her life will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Valley City on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 10:30 AM.  She will be laid to rest in the Mapleton Cemetery, Mapleton, ND.

Gladys Rosina Hartman was born February 1, 1940, in Kulm, ND.  She grew up in the Edgeley-Kulm, ND area where she went to school.

On December 14, 1964, she married Clarence Pederson.  They made their home in Edgeley for a few years, later moving to Valley City, ND.

Gladys worked many years for the Valley City Parks and Rec.  When she wasn't working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and having a cup of coffee with friends.  She also liked working on puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Jeff) Sorenson; grandsons, Brian and Zachary Kline and Jericho Sorenson; a great grandson, Jaxen Kline; brother, Norman Hartman; sisters, Marie Swartz and Beverly Feldman; and many nieces and nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; her son, Eugene; sister, Violet Swartz; and a brother Alvin.
