Diana Mae (Lutjens) Wieland was born on May 12, 1946, to John (Jack) and Helen (Linerud) Lutjens in Valley City, ND. Diana grew up in Valley City and attended Valley City High School, where she made many lifelong friends, and graduated in 1964. After, she studied business at VCSU.  In 1967, she married Tom Wieland Sr. in Valley City, ND. They moved to the family farm east of Dazey, raising their children Tommy, Lori, and Tonya.  Following graduation, she worked for Sproul & Fitzner Law Firm in Valley City. Diana enjoyed working with the public, working as a clerk for Heinze-Trottier and Parkman auction services for over 50 years. During those years, she also worked at the Ashtabula Crossing, Sibley Resort, and Dazey bar. She enjoyed working in the hospitality business, having a gifted ability to keep people happy and make them smile.  Throughout her life, Diana was an avid sports fan and rarely missed a game of her children or grandchildren. Football Sundays were very special to her. She loved watching her favorite team, the Vikings. You could occasionally find her yelling at the TV and keeping up with the scores of other games.  Diana loved spending time with her close friends and family, often taking spontaneous trips to the casino, road trips with her girlfriends, or driving somewhere to have supper. She cherished when neighbors, friends, and family would unexpectedly show up at her house and visit.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lori (Tony Jochim), Tonya (Mark) Schlotman; her brother, Rod Lutjens; her grandchildren, Trevor Quick, Josh Quick, Daniel (Cindy) Wieland, Luke Wieland, Jocelyn Schlotman, Samantha Schlotman, Thomas Schlotman, and Travis Sichmeller; her great grandchildren, Michael Wieland, Nokoa Wieland, Elias Wieland, Aubree Scevers, and Walker Johnson.

Diana is proceeded in death by her parents, John (Jack) and Helen Lutjens; her brothers Dale, John (J.O.), and Keith Lutjens; and her son Tommy Wieland Jr; her Great-Grandaughter, Gracelyn Presley Johnson.

The family would encourage people to dress casual or and wear your favorite NFL football team sportswear.
