Courtney Nelson, age 23 of Valley City died Nov. 2, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Valley City. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Friday Nov. 6, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. JoAnne Moeller officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM until 7PM Thursday Nov. 5th at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Valley City. Courtney Marie nelson was born July 10, 1992 at Valley City, ND the daughter of Robert and Dee (Tuenge) Nelson. She enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, going for walks with her family and friends, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She graduated from Valley City High School in May of 2013 and later went on to the Open Door Activity Center, making many friends along the way. Honorary Pallbearers will be her sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and staff of the Open Door Center, and the Senior Citizen bus drivers. Active pallbearers will be Randy Nelson, Royce nelson, Steve Monilaws, and Rick Idland. Courtney is survived by her parents Robert and Dee Nelson, Valley City, ND, grandparents Earl and Connie Behm, Valley City, ND, sisters Trisha (Brian) Steiner, Mapleton, ND, Laurie (Ben) Nelson, Cooperstown, ND, Megan Kankelfritz, Phoenix, AZ, and Kristin Nelson, Valley City, ND, and nieces and nephews Emilea and Isaac Steiner, Mapleton, ND and Hawken, Corbin, and Purdee Nelson, Cooperstown, ND. She was preceded in death by grandparents Henry and Martha Tuenge and Royce Nelson, Sr.
