Cindy Lee Larson of Valley City, ND, age 64, died peacefully on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Fargo Sanford Hospice House from complications of Stage IV Lung Cancer.

The daughter of Floyd & Eva (Bentz) Schweitzer, Cindy, was born on September 25, 1956 in Jamestown, ND.  Cindy had a passion for bingo, unicorns, coloring, playing cribbage and pinochle, baking, and Pepsi. She was blessed with one daughter, Meadow Larson, and a precious granddaughter, Lake. She touched many lives with her kindness and outstanding service with Women of the Valley. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Cindy graduated from Valley City High School. She was a long-time employee of the Viking Room restaurant. She also worked at various other restaurants in Valley City, most recently McDonalds. Many evenings, Cindy worked to ensure the Bingo games at the VFW ran smoothly.

Cindy is survived by her mother Eva Schweitzer, Valley City, ND; daughter Meadow Larson (Jessica), Seattle, WA; two brothers Duane Schweitzer (Kristi), Valley City, ND; and Jeff Schweitzer (Renee), Fargo, ND; granddaughter Lake, three nieces, and six nephews.

Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Schweitzer and her sister, Kathy Hoover.

Cindy's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Roger Maris Cancer Center, Sanford Hospital, and Hospice House for their incredible care and compassion.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 at Lerud Mathias Funeral Home, Valley City, ND, a burial will follow at Memory Gardens, near Valley City, and a Celebration of Life and Benefit will take place 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club, Valley City.
