Beth Ada Borchert, 88, longtime resident of Valley City, ND passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Bethany Towers in Fargo, ND.

Beth was born February 21, 1933 in Edmore, ND to William and Alma Collins.  She had one brother, Meryl.  On August 30, 1953, she married David Borchert. Together they raised four children.

She was an accomplished cook and was proud of making 50 different pies, some of them hundreds of times!  She was a 4H Leader (3 G's), a caregiver at the care center and in several homes.  Beth cooked at Valley City High School, worked at the Thrifty Store, and in her son, Curt's office.  She taught herself to crochet and made numerous afghans, pot holders and hats for family, friends and the needy.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents; brother; husband and daughter, Rita Richards.  She is survived by her sons, Bill of Valley City, Curt & Theresa of Ada, MN, and one daughter, Cyndee Evans of Joplin, MO; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM, November 18 at Connect Church in Valley City.  She will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens near Valley City.
