Arnie Miller, age 54, of Valley City, ND, died Thursday, September 7 ^th at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 11 ^th at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Valley City. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10 ^th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at St. Catherine's Catholic Church and one hour before the service on Monday morning. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday evening at the church. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery near Oriska, ND.

Arnold "Arnie" Gerard Miller, the son of John and Dorothy (Sherman) Miller, was born December 11, 1962 in Valley City, ND. Arnie grew up on the family farm near Oriska, ND where he lived with his parents until May, 1992. Arnie moved in with his sister Phyllis in Valley City until 1999. In 1999, he moved to 4th Corp in New Rockford, ND until 2004. In September, 2004 he moved to the Open Door in Valley City where he was a paper shredder, can crusher, box packer and helped with all of the other daily chores. In October, 2012 Arnie moved to the Sheyenne Care Center. Arnie greeted everyone and was a friend to everyone he met.

Arnie is survived by his seven brothers, Mitch (Sandy) Leal, ND, Harvey (Donna) Wyndmere, ND, Ken (Rose) Elk River, MN, Ray, Tower City, ND, Fr. Jake Miller, Edgeley,ND, Cliff, Dazey, ND and Larry, Page, ND; four sisters, Helen (Don) Johnson, Valley City, ND, Gay (Ralph) Anderson, Wimbledon, ND, Gayle (Dan) Halland, Oriska, ND and Phyllis (Kevin) McDonough, Valley City, ND; 7 nephews; 8 nieces.

Arnie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Melvin and Marvin.
