Anna M. Anderson, 86, Valley City, ND passed away at her home.  The funeral service for Anna will be 10:30, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City with visitation the hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Memory Gardens this spring.  The service will be live streamed, then archived, on a link provided along with her obituary on her tribute page at www.lerudmathias.com.  An online guestbook is available there as well.

Anna Mae Peterson was born December 4, 1938, in Valley City, ND.  She was the only daughter of Gordon and Ruth (Lockwood) Peterson.  Anna grew up near Hastings, ND where she attended school, graduating in 1956.  She attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND.

February 13, 1960, she married Gary Anderson at First Lutheran Church in Valley City.  They made their home and raised their family in Valley City.  Anna worked as a computer operator in the office of Valley City Public Works from 1964-2006.

She was a fan of the MN Vikings and Twins and enjoyed watching tennis matches on television.  Anna was on a women's bowling league for many years.

Anna is survived by her son, Scott (Ree) Anderson of Valley City; daughter, Laurie (Ken) Kennedy of West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Erika (Danny) Ryan, Whitney Kennedy, Tyler (Jenna) Kennedy, Catrina (Russell) Lee, Sabrina Terry, Khadijah Terry, and Monisha Terry; great grandchildren, Cooper Kennedy, Aaliyah Terry, Cameron Lee and Callahan Lee; brothers, Harvey Peterson of Valley City and John (Cindy) and Brian (Diane) Peterson of Fargo, ND; a brother-in-law, Arnie Anderson as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; brothers, LeRoy and Wayne; and sisters-in-law, Faye, Diane, and Sharon.
